“Uprooting Anger” is Launched!

We serve a mighty and a faithful God. Our attendance at the Coalition of Prison Evangelists Conference in Dallas was a blessing surpassing our dreams. We heard testimony after testimony of God’s faithfulness in pulling people out of the pit of bondage and sin. We witnessed the light, compassion, and love in the transformed lives. And we were challenged by the passion they have for reaching lost, discarded souls with the love of God. I could write a series of blogs of the stories we heard and the encouragement we received, but I will stick to reporting on the reception of the “Uprooting Anger,” since many of you were praying for us.

“Uprooting Anger” was well received by conference attendees. One after another said it was what they were looking for or that it would answer a need. One person took it overnight and read the whole thing before deciding to make a purchase. He then reported, “Kay, this is good. It’s very biblical. It’s good—and I don’t say that often.” He bought ten books to put in a bookstore for counselors, and he will be recommending it to others.

The book sold well and will be used in prisons and aftercare facilities throughout Texas and in several other states. In addition to the direct sales, we left copies with several influential people that will be looking it over to make recommendations for use throughout the country and around the world. Copies also went to several foreign countries.

Sunday night we received reports of other possible doors opening for use in Florida. By the time we get home later this week, the books should have arrived so we can begin filling orders immediately. We are a bit in awe. It seems we are standing watching something unfold that is bigger than we are. We are grateful to be part of it and pray that we will be responsible stewards of the work the Lord has given us to do with “Uprooting Anger.”
