God is good

I survived the knife! By the mercy and grace of the Lord, it has even been a positive experience. The surgery center personnel and the doctor were professional, personable and caring, and everything went off without a hitch. They numbed my arm instead of putting me to sleep so I was alert and able to stop for lunch on the way home.

My pain has basically been nonexistent with Ibuprophen. So after a good night’s sleep, I didn’t take anything for pain this morning—and I’m doing great! I need to keep my hand elevated, so am going to curl up with a good book and enjoy the day.

I know God is good all the time, not just when things go the way we would choose, but this morning I am rejoicing in His mercy and his goodness.
